Clarence LaCombe is a Portage native and still lives on the lake where he was raised. Austin Lake has been home to Clarence and his family for the last 26 years. After raising daughter Dani and seeing her talent for business, Clarence brought his dream of owning a bait and tackle shop to the South West Michigan area and beyond. He is happy to say 4 years after opening, not only are they selling bait, but boats as well. You can stop in and see Dani just about anytime to talk over the latest fishing updates or take a tour of their G3 boats.
